http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....howtopic=116209"The “Renegade” is a beast in the dunes. On my test ride this machine proved worthy. With paddles front and back the “Renegade” pulled hills without a problem. On one occasion we intentionally stopped midway up a dune, let the bike settle in, put it in 4-wheel drive and took off without an issue. No wheel spin, no sinking in the sand, nothing, just a clean shot to the top. The latter is impressive for any vehicle in the dunes.
Overall the Can-Am “Renegade” rocked. It handled well, jumped great, and had the power needed to pull the 597lb. beast up the hill. The rear independent suspension was plush. Through the whoops to the hill the “Renegade” bombed through everything at high speeds without an effort. I love big bikes, I love the power, and I love the comfort in knowing that I have a machine below me that can get me out of anything. Can-Am has really made a conscious effort at getting it right and the 800cc V-twin “Renegade” proved the point."
Be sure to look at the pictures though.
Oh, and there's no way you'll
need paddles. My dad has a 4x4 Prairie 650 and that thing goes through the sand in 4x4 no problem without paddles. It can't make it up the big big stuff, but my guess is that the 800 will be able to power through. You'll have fun for sure. No worries.
