.....I have torn apart numerous 2 stroke carbs. I am now faced with the task of replacing the main in my KFX400 (4 stroke). I have a schematic of the carb. So I know where it is, but don't know the steps. Anyone done this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. -Spode.

Spode, there should be an access bung at the bottom of the float bowl directly underneath your main jet. Just unscrew it and change out the main jet. I think I remember the DRZ400 dirtbike being this way. It may help to loosen the carb at both ends and rotate it so it's easier to get to.

Thanks guys, that's how I remember 2-smokes. That little thing about the screws, Does that mean I can't use my 1" impact with 1250 ftlbs tourqe?
