i was at olds a couple of weeks ago and my car stopped moving , no crazy noises just likw it slipped out of gear . i let the clutch out in any gear no moving , no noises, took it in and here is what we found , the long shaft just twisted in half . bill at az. transaxle said he has seen the short shaft before but not the long one , kind of a fluke . while i had it apart we went through it , new klingenberg (sp) ring and pinion , new mainshaft and second gear , upgraded main shaft bearing etc. so hopefully it's better than new . tim

I heard this exact same thing from DirtLee last weekend, the savings are huge.

I just did my pool last year.. I figure we saved around 25k or so doing it myself..Very easy to do! Oh ya, sorry to hear about your tranny.. If you build your pool yourself, you could use the money saved to buy a Fortin! Sweet!

Definatly build your own pool, I did and saved probably $20K. Very easy process!!!
