Firday at the drags there was a 4-door older ford and he rolled it. Heard he was going too fast throght the whoops and pitched it sideways and rolled. I have it on video (after the accident) all the glass is gone and roof/a pillar, hood all bent out of shape. But later on saw it bak on the road.
Also saw a wanna-be long travel jump the starting line berm and snapped off his left rear tire/trailing arm. I got alot of good video this weekend but no pics. The LEO's were very good too. Saw them stop all violators and left everyone else alone. Made a trip over the road to Buttercup and comp hill looked like crap with all the trash. First time there so I can't base a opinion on other weekends but it was a mess. Talked to a fellow BP agent sitting under a canopy looking south and he was jealous that we are having all the fun and he was sitting there looking at the sand. All in all it was a good weekend, saw some very nice rails out there.

Thats why trucks shouldnt go down the drags! He was going way to fast the woops at the drags were huge this weekend. That truck was beat up at least he was ok. And yes buttercup hill look like shiat on sun. I cant believe people are such pigs and cant take their trash with them. But it was an awesome weekend.

I also saw the Truck roll... Went back on Saturday and he was going down the drags again only real slow this time waving to everyone.

Buttercup comp is a mess... There were a lot of people camped in the Valley this weekend, most I have seen in years. All the dumpsters were overfilled, so I packed my trash home with me!

We were stuck 3 rows deep at the staring line on the East side. My guess is the drags were over 1/2 mile long. It was too rough to run I thought, even the long-travel cars seemed to have trouble at times.

I was on the WEstside about 1/3 of the way down front row Friday and Westside startline saturday...

I made a pass Saturday in my frinds old school swing axle 1835 VW rail, I was suprised that it was actually smoother than it looked.

Did you see the MOHO burned down by vendors area? They had a fridge catch fire Tues morning. Had a few minutes to throw all they could outside before it was too late.
dunernr
Yeah, we could see the Flames from where we were camped at ButterCup.
Rubberneck
How about the flames in all the brush at the canal. We went over there one night to check it out. I think it was Thursday night. We could see the flames from our camp. It pretty much burned from the freeway to the new canal bridge.

duner21 what were you driving? I was at comp sunday so maybe we saw you. Only a couple long travels there. Were you one?

the moho that burned was owned by a friend of ours, he was a partner at Light em up, who sells whips and lights, etc, they are based in el cajon, the owner was in san diego at the time it burnt down and his partner was sleeping in the motorhome, his house burnt down during the fires, so the two partners have had better days, was the fire by the canal intentional, I went to gordons from buttercup wed. then on thurs no more bushes by the canal, I thought it had to be a controlled burn, anyone know? other than that it was a great week for me, got out there Mon morning, left Sunday around noonish. cant complain about that.
sandman4free
the buggy that burned was from our camp. everyone made it out safely.....and that's all that matters. some one has the pics to post soon I think.

Rubberneck i was in my buddys new rail. It is a sandlimo cruider candy red with an ls1. We were at the hill sun morning around 8:30 or 9:00? We were with our other buddy in his limo also. We were the first camp as you come down the hill between the freeway and the raod. I will be out there on new years with my new ride i cannot wait!

We were lighting fireworks Saturday night near the Plank road when a CDF ranger came by and told us it was illegal to light fireworks. I said, what could burn, and he said did you see those burning bushes the other night, he said they were lite by fireworks. That Moho fire went up fast. Was the buggy fire near the canal in Buttercup, I just figured it was abunch of pallets, totally sucks.

Could not believe the mess that was left at Comp from Friday night, totally disgusting.

Other than that the dunes were in good shape in comparison to Gordon's, there were pretty rough over there.

I was camped close to the truck the rolled. On Sunday they used a full roll of duck tape to tape the rear winshield (that poped out in one piece in the roll) in place where the front should have been. They had tie downs holding the doors shut, and keeping the tail gate shut. But the charged it for home, and I didn't see them on the side of the road??? Good luck

on a side note I think the guy pulled out some pretty good driving by not letting that 6,000 lb. piece of metal hit the croud!

I saw a hugh fire by Pair-A-Dice and though they were having a big party.
