within the last 7 months, Oceano Dunes has been devastated with a ruling, and a lawsuit

the ruling has all but ended the WORCS series race that had been held annually at Oceano Dunes....the CBD...Center for Biological Perversit....errrrrrr Diversity claimed that a "environmental" impact study has to be done annually prior to the race due to the "fragile" environment

The Sierra Club just filed a lawsuit against the use of vehicles in the Oceano Dunes, claiming that the land owned by the county of San Luis Obispo, which is basically the entrance into the park, cannot be used by vehicles ,as it is a "buffer" zone

Two things are needed


1. MONEY....you can go straight to www.oceanodunes.org and donate via paypal. This money will be used for legal fees already incurred and incurred in the future to fight these legal battles


2. DONATION OF LEGAL TIME...... If you are a lawyer that off-roads, or know any that does, that would be willing to donate their time to a non-profit org.....please have them contact me




it is a shame that an area, such as Oceano Dunes, with such a rich history of off-roading, could possibly be shut down..

Is FoOD using the money to retain a lawyer?

Yes.

FoOD has retained a lawyer and is currently in a lawsuit against the county. We need to intervene against a new lawsuit filed by the Sierra Club and we need to fight on-going issues.

FoOD is a 501C3 non profit. We have a lawyer and lobbyist.

NO salaries are paid...we are a 100% volunteer organization.

I know for some it is much easier to open the wallet if you know where the money is going vs. the same old "we need money..." statements.
