Looking for ideas or pictures on how Tatum mounts their radiators at the 35 degree / slant angle.

If you own a car with this type of mounting can you post pictures of your radiator??

Thanks,

I was hoping to see some pics on how other cars are mounted to give me some ideas on re-mounting mine. Since nobody posted anything I yanked the wing off mine and snapped a few pics.

I've got a Tatum with a Ron Davis radiator and I've chased leaks/cracks since it was new. I think I finally got the thing figured out, but we'll see. On a sidenote, I use this car in the desert 95% if the time and pound through whoops so it takes a beating. I still don't like the way it's mounted, and may eventually remount it with a cradle type system so it's not "hard-mounted" like it is now.

Here's a pic of the driver side, which I think I've finally got figured out. Originally the radiator had a flat piece of material sticking out perpendicular to the tank (the way the pass. side is still). Even thought the tank is supported by a flat metal plate, the aluminum mounting plate would flex and crack at the weld leading to a leak. I finally ended up with the L shape that give more weld surface and seems to work.

As you can see, the passenger side has a small crack somewhere so it's leaking again (there's coolant/dirt along the seem of the tank/bracket). This time I'll add the L shaped aluminum to the pass. side too.

This pic gives you an idea of how the mounts come off the chassis. The flat plate supports the tank and also mounts to the bracket welded to the ends of the tank.

No pics, but mine is semi rigid mounted. I went to kragen and bought the rubber donuts for shocks. I bolted the radiator to the mount with the rubber donuts sandwiched between. I figure its pretty good isolation...

go to the parts store {checker, autozone, pepboys} in the oem section they sale rubber groments for windshelled wiper motors . I drilled my radiator mounting holes and used them.
