Whats the best way?

What size jet, and what adjustments to the carb do you recomend?

Do any of the airfilter/jet kits have good instructions?

Is it ok to run the K&N airfilter with an outerwears and the lid off in the sand?

I may be running a White Bros series E pipe.

Thanks,

Dynajet has a kit out with pretty good instructions, the problem is they apparantly use different jet numbers than the rest of the industry, and some people say they don't like them. It runs fine in my 450, but I will probably re-jet with something else. The best place I've seen for this discussion is on the forum on http://www.yfzcentral.com/

Good luck

you have to pull the lid off it makes a big difference. As far as the jetting with the lid off you want to use a 45 pilot, needle in about the 4th clip depending on the needle. Set the mains at around 170 and start out at 2 1/2 turns on the screw. If you still have the stock jetting with that pipe you're going to be extremely lean. The jet kits are a waste of money. They give you jets for all elevations which you probably don't need. Buy the jets seperately.
