Well, since I snapped an a-arm and busted a rezzie OEM shock on my Raptor, I'm looking to upgrade from the hand-me-down non-rezzie OEM shocks that are on there now.
Plenty of info and opinions for the "best" shocks but very little info for the cheaper stuff.

I'm not a pro rider and mainly ride hard-pack and occasionally the dunes.
Not a huge jumper, either.

I'm saving pennies for a SxS so I don't want to put too much money into the front-end. I'll stick with the factory a-arms, as the capabilities of the quad are still beyond my abilities.

I'm considering TCS non-rezzies, since they're custom valved and set-up.
But I'm also looking at Fox Floats.

What do you guys think are good all-around shocks for, say, $500 or so?

Find a pair off a Yamaha YFZ 450.

For duning, the fox floats are a awesome shock. The dunes wont really stress out a shock to require a resi. My vote would be the Float.....

Never heard one bad thing about Fox Floats. I'm looking to get some in the near future for my 660.

I got sum off e-bay. Not really all that excited about them. Kinda liked the stock non-rezzies better.
Might have sum for sale............

Broke the stock a-arm? I thought I'd beatin on mine soundly but the arms are holding up great. I've been thinking about upgrading the front shocks as well (and the back) because I've been maxing both ends out the last couple seasons.

Midnight ride at Ocotillo...prolly had a drink or 10...apparently, a-arms don't like to hit basketball-sized rocks at speed. dunno.gif
