Weird, but one part of it rings true: I sold something on eBay to a guy in Britain. He asked me to declare the shipment as a gift to avoid tax problems. That deal was legit.

I'd suggest asking for references--past customers in the US.

There are differences also.
One is Fed Ex, the next one is UPS. May be nothing - but its now different and with 2+ years experience - why would that get messed up. Just ODD I guess.
There are people like this in the US as well using the Cycle Trader.
My Pops once told me.. If you feel this is too good to be true.. well.. It probably is.. Saved me many times..
WELL IT WAS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE
I REPORTED THIS TO EBAY AND THE AD WAS PULLED
BEWARE.
THERE IS LOTS OF LISTING LIKE THIS ONE.

STAY AWAY!!!! This is a typical scam. It doesn't get more typical than this. Even if the western union transfer is not in his name, if he knows the name it is in, he can pull the money. WALK AWAY. This happens all the time. Western Union + foreign country ALWAYS equals scam.
If it's too good to be true, it is.

This is really common on E-bay right now, It will take about 30 seconds to find another scam just like it. The sad thing is I see people bid on those atvs.

I would have asked him to verify the bike is here before I send payment!!! Reverse what is being asked of you, the buyer onto the seller, then, the ball is in your court....he wanted to verify payment before shipping...I would have verified bike before sending payment...
the truth be told, these ATv's are very expensive in other countries because of quantity sold.....America is the heartland of competitive business....don't forget that folks.....your best deal is within the US....
