I've been waiting to see a press release and visiting their beautiful web site a lot in the past month or so. I'm looking for the OHV voter guide for next week's statewide election. For many, many years - this guide was put out at least a month or so BEFORE the election.

This year, I can't find anything about this guide.

Does anyone here have a clue as to why CLORV did not publish such a guide?

Seems as if part of my question was answered when I went to CORVA's web site this morning.

Notice Regarding Candidate Endorsements for June 3 Primary Election

Recently we sent a notice to all CORVA members that the California League of Off Road Voters (CLORV) would soon finalize their endorsements for the June 3 elections. Regretfully, we heard from CLORV tonight (May 28th) that there will be no endorsements this election. CORVA has pushed the leaders of CLORV to get the endorsements finalized for several weeks now. They finally decided that they will not endorse in this election for various reasons.

CORVA apologizes for this situation. We have paid dues to an organization whose principal reason for existence is to coordinate all of the candidate information so that the off road community can unite behind the best candidate for as many races as possible and to communicate this information to our members. Since we do not raise huge amounts of campaign dollars to contribute to candidates to help in their campaigns, the goal of CLORV was originally to assure friendly candidates that we have the ability to communicate with our members through newsletters and press releases to the off road media.

Again, we apologize for the inability of CLORV to perform their single most important task in this critical election season. After this election, we will be calling for a meeting of all of the member organizations of CLORV to conduct a thorough performance audit of CLORV and to immediately place in motion plans to ensure that we continue to offer our members and the greater ORV community valuable information on candidates for legislative races in a timely manner. CLORV and/or its predecessor the League of Off Road Voters has provided voter guides to all off road organizations and publications since the mid-1980's. We are concerned that recent moves to assign this role to professional consultants instead of relying on dedicated volunteers who have always gotten the endorsements out within 45 days of an election has resulted in a less than satisfactory outcome.

Ok OHV leadership, officers, and directors of CLORV, what are the reasons why this important work product that in essence was a paid effort was not accomplished?
APHANTOMDUCK
Well, well, well...

It seems that CORVA has now taken the Notice to its members quoted in my post # 2 above.

I, for the life of me, can understand why CORVA's new leadership took this down of the web site.

Is there a CORVA leadership person who wants to enlighten us?
