So how hard is it to disassemble? I want to coat the hotside, but I dont want to rebuild it or screw it up either. It looks like a few bolts and it comes off. I assume the center section is where all the bearings and parts I dont want to mess with are. I will wait to coat the center part until I have to rebuild it.

Any thoughts?

its easy just the bolts you see on the outside

Its easy to take of the turbine housing on a turbo. Just unbolt the 6 bolts that hold it on and it will come off. When you get the housing coated make sure they do not coat any of the machine surfaces and the bolt holes. If they do it will affect how the turbo spoils, air flow, how everything bolts down, and sits. I hope this helps. If you have any problems give us a call or bring it by if your worried and we will be happy to take off the housing at no charge. Ryan/ RH Engineering.

Thanks for the quick responses! Thanks for the offer Ryan!

Can the center section be disassembled and coated without a rebuild too?

What turbo is this we are talking about? A ball bearing or standard journal bearing? Dave

Hi Dave and Ryan, what if it is just a std journal, can the center section be easily disassembled for powdercoating?
offroadclutchguy
yes it can. just make sure all parts go back the way they came out.
