I am thinking about buying a pipe for my brother for his new YFZ, however I have heard many different sizes reguarding jetting, and such, Alba has the kit that is the least expensive and they are not far from me, But is it a decent pipe, I heard that they jet too small, I want to do a full system, air filter, etc. and also the cam mod, I only ride in Glamis, Buttercup and Gordons, somebody help me, also are the pipe kits harder to install on the YFZ, I put one on my raptor, and warrior, but I dont recall messing with a screw, and I heard that I need the zip ty screw thingy to adjust the YFZ, thanks for any input, I really do appreciate it,

Screamin I no this doesn't really relate to what you were asking but how does the 450 comnpare to your Raptor. Would you sell your Raptor for a 450 honda or Yamaha?

I love both bikes, they are set up for 2 different riding styles, the 450 is more of an aggressive bike, I have done some mods to my raptor so as of right now I would pick that, but if I had to decide between the 2 brand new, I would probably choose the 450, it is easier to ride and is more solid of a bike, however it is not as comfortable as the raptor, I am 31, 5'11" and weigh 240lbs, I like to jump a little and cruise in 3rd thru the dunes, so the raptor suits me best, but the 450 kicks serious ass, oh and it is the Yamaha, in my opinion it is way better than the honda, in many aspects, I can give you details if you like, but I have made this post long enough for now, thanks,

I sold my Raptor and bought a YFZ 450.
The YFZ is more fun to ride.

my brother has an HMF pipe and it looks pretty good. But for the price you can't beat the Alba set up with the filter and pro flow adapter. All it is is a knock off to a big gun pipe. I run side by side with my bros yfz with his HMF pipe and I weigh 30 pounds more. I've heard the sparks pipe is pretty good. As far as the zip ty needle, you don't need it but when you try nd adjust the air screw for the first time I guarantee you'll go spend $20 and get one. Don't worry about the jetting with the pipes they're all going to be about the same.

Ty Davis, a desert racer has his own line of trick parts. The zip ty needle is just an extended needle that you can tune by turning it with your fingers. No screw driver necessary.

IMO all these companies are pretty close (price aswell). I chose CT for my Raptor and have no regrets, xlnt product and customer service. If i had to do it all over again, I would go with either another CT or Sparks.
CT's dyno run for the YFZ.

I'd either look at TC's pipe www.tcracingengines.com .....just call them
Or the Curtis Sparks pipe as mentioned earlier www.sparksracing.com
Both the guys put alot more time into designing their pipes than most manufacters, so you will get the most power for your money. IMO

Found these on another site. An intake that replaces the airbox. These cats are claiming when the seat went on, they lost 2 HP on the dyno.
