My dad had an 91 Tsi AWD - loved that car. Learned to drive stick in it.
Not much in the way of ground clerance but the turbo Mitsubishi motor was a blast and the AWD did great in mud and the few small patches of sand I was able to find in Ohio.
Loved the look of the pre-93 cars too. But then they changed the rear spoiler and both the Talon and the Eclipse got beat with the ugly stick pretty bad

that 6 inches of travel seems to work pretty good on the beam talon
