Well here it is.........# 2000. As I enter the Brotherhood I think about the past year and a couple of months, I can't fathom the amount of information I have gathered about the sport/hobby I love so much. I think about my wife who loves duning as much as I do and at first I thought I was going to have to fight tooth and nail to get her to go. Boy was I wrong. I think about my kids and the valuable life lessons they learn from duning and being a part of the duning family as a whole. It is important for kids to have hobbies and something that is done as a family and with close friends. They are building character and friendships that will last a lifetime and I hope one day when they have my grandchildren, they make duning as big a part of their family life as we do. I also think about the sad, untimely deaths of members of our duning family. My father in law passed away this past year from brain cancer and he thoroughly enjoyed going to the dunes and I am proud to say that my wife and I got him and my mother in law involved in duning. I think of the tragic Rhino wreck that took 3 young vibrant lives from their family and from the duning family as a whole, not to long ago. I think of the sadness I feel when I see trash spread out on our precious dunes and how there are people right this second plotting and scheming to take our hobby away from us. I also sit here and think about the wreck that trashed my body but didn't trash my spirit for the dunes. It just made me want to go even more. A big thought on my mind is the support from e-mails and PM's I got while doing through the ordeal of ordering and waiting for my first Sand Rail. I can't express enough appreciation to the people who supported me thru it all. I especially thank Roger, Cody, Daniel, Tim, and all the Phoenix Revenge people who took time out of their days to check on my car or chauffer me around Phoenix when I had to fly down to check on my car. People in general don't do those things, but duners do and that is what makes them so special.
So in the end I would like to express my graditude to Slappy for hosting this community and to the adminstrators/Mods who keep the boards on the up and up. It isn't an easy job and sometimes you have to step on toes. OK, enough rambling. Now where is my invite to the next EPO for Rails?
