That sounds normal. Just lean uphill and give it more gas.

How much air pressure do you run in the paddles?

You should try 5psi and see if that helps.

As a general rule:
Less pressure... say, around 3 and a half = more traction
more traction = less tirespin
less tirespin can equal less acceleration, bogging of the motor.
More pressure... say, around 5 = less traction
less traction = more tirespin
more tirespin can equal better acceleration, getting on the powerband easier.
Notice that there is not much difference between low pressure... 3.5 and high pressure... 5
More then 5 is not good for much other then pavement.
Ideal tire pressure is just enough tirespin to spin the tires... but just.
Tire pressure will be unique each time you go to Glamis.

You arent supposed to run paddles when you brake it in, did you run a tank of gas on the nobbies? I just got an alba z400 and the guy said dont brake it in with paddles, works the engine to much, what size and kind of paddles do you have? I lowered the air pressure in my front tires, so they had a more glide when in the dunes, Do you have alot of experience? Do you want to get mods?

If by crab, you mean the rear tires started to slide out from under you, then you should turn into the slide. Say the upper side of the bowl is on your right and your rear tires slide down the bowl to your left. You might be able to recover by steering into the slide or to the left.
This can happen when you go too slow along a steep sidehill. Picking up your speed can keep the bike tracking straight or straight enough that a little counter steer can help you. If you go to slow, your back end will just slide, no matter how little traction you have. There isn't much you can do to the bike to fix the problem in other words. Adjusting your riding style will get you the best results. Practicing on a small steep hill can be pretty fun and will make you a better rider.

I recommend that you check your muffler bearings. Sometimes if they are loose the bike will bog no matter what your tire pressure is.

Yeah, the muffler bearings. LOL
I say, when in doubt, grab a fist full of throttle and HANG ON!!!

Muffler bearings are located next to the sphincter valve, in the bowels of the frame.
It was a joke son!!!
