Just purchased 2002 400 EX. Awsome condition, like it's never been ridden. When starting it with the lights on it blows the 15 amp fuse that gives the key power. It has a White Bros rev box and the low beam doesn't work. The high beam works fine if you turn it on after the engine is running.
Any ideas?

I would take it to Honda to have them trouble shoot the elec. system...

check the wiring for any obvious signs of shorts or problems.

Make sure the lights are off when starting!! DUH!!!

Just for the FYI files.... The wires that go int the light sockets are pulled fairly tight. One of the wires had the insulation cut and was grounding against the socket. Works perfect now.
