No, Swift is not making buggies anymore. At least, not for the public. Talked to them a couple days ago. Said they only do a buggy here and there for friends.

Please do yourself a favor and remove playtech from your lists.
John please STOP trying to make buggies before you kill someone. You have no clue how to build a buggy.

This is my dealings with Playtech. Durring the construction of the car John (owner) lied to me several times as to the progress of the frame. I would drive to the shop(80 miles one way) after talking to him on the phone and him telling the frame is almost done. When I arrived, I found a couple of bent tubes lying next to the rack. 3 weeks past the due date he calls me and tells me to pick up the frame in the morning in 2 days. I arrive to find the frame about half done. They finally finished about 9pm. This guy is soo unorganized. I get the frame home to find the motor (VW), rear shocks, wing, and the roof doesnt fit. Its a VW, its not rocket science. They did fix the problems
After the car was done I thought the suspension was too stiff(Bilstien coilovers), John said it was fine. the first trip of the season my wife refused to ride in the car because it was too stiff. It was sooo stiff that it was giving me chest pains. The rear shock mounts bent on the first easy ride and the frame cracked in 2 places on the 3rd trip.
I called john to make an appointment to bring the car back for repairs, he told me that he didnt give a f*ck about my car and hung up on me.
I took the car to Suspensions Unlimited to have it fixed, I was amazed on how many Playtech cars where their. They told me they get this shoty work from john all the time.
If you look at Playtechs web site, they claim to be the leader in suspension. Playtech buys all suspension components from Suspension unlimted.
In October I crashed the car. I hit a witch eye that was about 10' deep doing about 50mph, came to an instant stop. I ended up in the hospital for the weekend with a fractured sternum and a whiplash. The fractured sternum was caused by my chest hitting the stearing wheel. The reason why my chest hit the stearing is becuase playtech did not position the seat belt tabs in the right position and it caused my seat (PRP) to bend along with all the tabs. To see pics of the car go to www.Glamisonline.org. In the photo Gallery look for my name TroyB

I'm sorry for being soo negative and for changing the subject but no person/customer should have to deal w/bs like this and for the concern of my fellow duners. Please be aware. There are allot of buggy builders, I wished that I would of found SU before playtech.

You hit a 10' witches eye at 50mph??? Sucks about the seatbelts and your injuries, but what else happened to the buggy? Had to have some damage at that speed.
I would expect any sand car to have serious damage in a 50mph witches eye romp.

Thank you Troy. I think the part that interested me the most was where he told you he didn't give a f**k about your car.
