Contemplating a quick run with the family this week, as kids are out of school, etc. I have talked to many people the last few years that spend all Christmas break out there- just trying to get a feel for how crowded it will be. I personally prefer the "off" weekends, etc., so I'm not real wild about being there if it's overcrowded.

Can some of you vets let me know what I might expect? If it's going to be crowded now, are there any good weekends in Jan that might be better?

Thanks a bunch! bandit.gif

Generally Christmas is pretty quiet out there.

i just got back from there (sunday 21st) and it is extremely quiet out there. so if you go out for that week it should be nice and quiet. i was expecting more people out there but it was very nice. must say the drags were very sad and there were no crowds at the hill at night to watch but it was still very nice.

enjoy your trip...

Buttercup was very quiet today. Not many people there at all. But on the way home I saw at least a dozen rigs heading that direction! I've never done the south dunes for the hollidays (we normally make the treck to Glamis) but we'll be at Gordon's next weekend. I may be able to arrange for an update friday night....if I can find someone still in town to call icon_biggrin.gif

Well, we went out Sunday night, and just came home today (CHRISTmas eve), and it was SWEEEEEET! Must have only been about 10 camps total at Gordon's. I LOVE it like that! Pair-a-dice was closed all week, but oh well.

Had a GREAT time, met some new dunin' friends, and nobody got hurt!
