Im thinking about getting a new Mazzone LT mid engine frame & suspension kit.
I plan on using a 500 hp Subaru in it. I want a light wieght 2 seater.
I dont plan on being the fastest car out there , I just want a light , fun car.
I would like to know how they ride/handle. Any opinions?

I don't see a downside to owning one of Mike's new cars. If you are ready to pony up the coin, do it. With a 500hp Subie in that light chassis you might not be the fastest (always someone faster) but you will be running in the top 80/90% of the cars in the dunes and that is scary fast. If you do the build we expect tons of pics.

If you have the skill and you have a Mazzone w/500 HP, you could be the fastest in the dunes.
Not sure how much his LT cars weigh, but his standard travel cars are LIGHT!

Mazzone told me it would be about 1400-1550 pounds with Subi

I just read your post again . You asked for weight of a roller. Its 1400-1500 comptete -ready to run .
I dont know what a roller weight is .

With a 200 Lb driver that puts you at 1600-1750 Lbs... Less than 3.5 Lbs per hp... not bad at all.
I put a lot of stock in the "nimble factor", meaning it would take a lot more skill in a 3500 Lb, 1000 Hp (yikes!) car to keep up with you duning in your 1750 car.

Of course, drags are a whole different animal. HP is king there!

I have considered Mosebilt, even talked the them. I like the looks of it but they have
never put a Subi in one .They are designed for a V8. Thier price is pretty good I must say.
I like the looks of Mosebilt the best

What is the Mazzone roller going to cost?
Cost finished with the 2.5 and 2d?

we designed the car for V6 that we never get to put in because everyone upgrades to a ls1 or2! a subie in one would make this car superlight! this car with a 480hp ls1 is ridiculous fast!
