Well I am wondering what type of grease everone is using on there Cv jonts? I'm using a mix of Bellray & Elite is there something better out there and why?

It's pretty much what I use too. An antiseize lube and moly mixture has worked best for me.

I've heard a lot of people use Cat Gold (if that's the right name).

That's the right name.

You'll get a lot of answers...

LE (Lubrication Engineers)
Cat Gold
Moly mixed with antiseze
and few others.

I personally use Lucas Red N Tacky #2.

I started off using a 50/50 mix of Belray and the other grease that most people recommend. I didn't like the way it separated and left thick sludge in the cage and liquid in the boot.

So I researched and switched to Chevron Delo Extreme Pressure II grease, designed for much higher working pressures and temps. It's about $3/tube, very tacky and stays in the cage.

Out of curiosity, I tried Cat Desert Gold. It's formulated similar to Chevron Delo EP II but a little thinner and more expensive (8-$10/tube.)

Then Lubrication Engineers was recommended to me, it's even slightly stickier than Chevron Delo EP II and sells for about $14 -15/tube.

Out of the bunch, I think the LE gives the best protection, followed closely by the Chevron, then Cat Desert Gold, then far behind those comes the Belray/moly combo stuff.

Socaldmax,
Which one of the LE products do you use? They have two that look good and why not mix maybe!!!! LE's 1250-1253 High Temp or 3750-3752 High Temp Extreme Pressure, both look very good, just need your feedback, thanks.
