Cp wr 12.5-1 compression piston - $200

Cylinder - $220 (If needed)

Hotrods wr crank - $250

main bearings - $100

Full gasket set - $100

Do the cam mod while you are in there, and maybe even send the right case half off to sparks to have the oil squirter installed. Thats $50 plus shipping I believe. The Wr set up will give you a little more torque and IMO is more reliable than the stock set up. 12.5-1 piston will run on 93 octane all day long. Make sure you run the CP or OEM wr piston. JE's are junk and if you stick with the cp or oem the life of your motor will be a lot better. Same with cylinder. It may not look like it needs to be replaced, but you aren't supposed to re hone the nikasil liner. Inspect it and if you can still see hatch marks and no obvious damage, you should be good to go. You can get a oem wr crank through yamaha, but I'd pay the $50 extra for the extra strength of the hot rods rod.

PM 24v and I'm sure he can help you out.

^^^^That's the ticket right there. There is probably that much in labor too if you decide to take it in to the shop, so I would recommend scouping up a manual and knocking it out yourself. I think there is an e-copy of the service manual above in a "sticky".

Not to kick you while youre down brother, but you shouldve came and looked at mine before you bought this one. Mine was probably the same price as you just paid, and it already had everything done to it that youre about to do.

If you need help with it, and you are near San Diego, let me know. I can knock this out in a weekend at a very fair price. 25cheers.gif
