Didn't miss anything. The blue sky is pretty dark on my computer- didn't know if it was early morning or not. Cool pics!

Absolutely fantastic! Planet Sand, thank you for treating the dunes with the respect they deserve. Way to step it up, and be part of the solution and not part of the problem. And a big pat on the back to the members of the GD.com community for keeping the pressure on others to treat Mother G right!

That's great. But hopefully they saved themselves some work and just never let the trash hit the ground in the first place. No need to pick up after yourself if no trash ever hits the ground.

It's great that they cleaned up after themselves, but a pat on the back for not trashing the hill.

a bunch of people didn't trash the hill this weekend and none of them get a thread.

That is certainly one way to look at it. However, the members of the GD.com community quite vocally pointed out their misbehavior over the past 3 or 4 years. The least we can do is acknowledge they got the message loud and clear, and provide some positive reinforcement. I wouldn't expect to see a thread like this next year, as we all know they are aware of how good duners treat Mother G. But at least in my opinion, this thread recognizing this major accomplishment is well deserved, not just for the drag racers, but also for our members to see that their efforts to educate others about keeping Mother G clean have paid off.
This was a win on so many levels...for the drag racers they now know how to responsibly enjoy Mother G, another small bit of positive influence and education of other duners, and of course the big winner is Mother G...she hates trash. Worth the bandwidth to me..

I agree with you hole heartedly, however this has been a 4 year battle that the last 3 years were train wrecks .
that being said i feel like this past weekend was a major accomplishment to the dune's and the duneing community.
and to the dune's outreach program and The Slap Army. people will listen eventually if you just keep repeating yourself.
now how about getting The Slap Army together for a old's road tree line cleaning ?
maybe the first weekend that everyone is in the compound ?
Thanks again .....Tim

How many times can a person be Duner of the month, anyway?

Having made the ride to check them out racing.......
I seems they did a combination of both, there was stuff laying around but it wasn't a huge mess. Some had families
and kids sitting in chairs watching like they were out at a drive in.
So they kept it clean while there and seemed to cleanup after.

I have to admit, I didnt have any confidence in them. I had a date set in my calender for July I put in last year when this happened. I went the the PS website and looked for ANY info they would be returning and I couldnt find any. I figured they werent going. So I was pleasantly surprised to find out they went AND they cleaned up after themselves!
I tried looking for any posts over there about the drags, but I didnt find any. I wanted to thank them for a good job. Has anyone found anything?

I had the pleasure to watch them run the hill on sat. night. They are definitely not joking around with their rides. Although Pepperoni had beat them to the top a couple of times.

Seriously though. I might not understand it completely but I do respected their devotion to it. It was a good show.

From my understanding from a 3rd party they tried to get a permit and were denied. It then became like our EPO and was done in PM's and on the down low.
