My drum brakes on my 85 atc 110 squeak like crazy when applied. I have taken emery cloth and sanded down both the drum and the brake pads but it still squeaks like crazy. I have a new set of pads but the old ones have tons of friction material left on em. They almost look new also. Does anyone have any ideas on what my problem is?

I gotta keep waiting for you my friend, hence the need for the brakes.
Thanks Gump, I'll give the new pads a try.
