The 88 is a Sand Toys frame. Most likely built by Don when he was with Sand Toys before he left and started Sand Cars.

Love your car, looks like its haulin ass parked in the driveway. What year is that chassis? Was that a special drag style chassis he was doing or was that his standard design then?

TnT--,I bought the car in 1998 from the originall owner <Bob>,, Don and Cathy had the matching car to this one when it was built.., Don told me the third chassis left his shop as a roller and was never finished... I thought the car was a 1995,, but a few months back I had the car sold-- but the girl was trying to finance it and Don said it was a 1992 's,,, but no vin tag so she couldnt get it financed...<bummer>,, Don knows I have this car ,, and can verify anything im incorrect on.. I will pm you closer to the SCU Oct 11 date ,, I should be able to be out there by Wed..,, maybe we hook up and camp and enjoy the party.. drinkup.gif

I have an old sand toys mid engine 2 seater. It's so much fun to drive. Only problem is I break rear a arms or 4 link or 5 link. As soon as i switch to trailing arms it should be indestructible. I wish I could find pics. I know it doesn't compare to their new stuff but I haul ass through the dunes.

Is this the car you were referring too. I was told it was originally don's. The guy I bought it from claimed to have bought it from their showroom, I bought it in 2001Click to view attachment
