I was wondering if you could put put you whip under the handle bars while its still connected for storage. Is this bad for the whips over a long period of time? Thanks for the input, im gettin real tired of boltin all the whips every single time we go to Glamis.

I've never heard of any problems with the whip under the bars.
I reccomend a quick release whip mount. RIS make the best. Easiest and best looking by far. I think they are $35 bucks. Twist the tiop to release and twist back to tighten. Billet aluminum.

Yeah R.I.S. do make the best, I baught one at the super show, it was $28 with a whip, I think they're still $28 but im not sure if they have a whip, I know Alba has alot of R.I.S. parts at their depot in poway, but im not sure how much they are or if they come with a whip, but you should definently get one,

I like the Stiffy quick release better, plus they come in annodised colors. Don't have a pic, will try to take one in the next couple days.

I had some freinds who had bought the click whips. They said that they worked great until they got a little sand in them. Then i guess they were'nt so functional. Are those twist whips you guys have kinda like the bolt whips but you can just use your hands? Im gonna have to take a look at those.
Thanks

The RIS bolts onto your 6 pack or Grab Bar. You just twist the top to release or tighten the whip. I've had mine for 2 seasons. No prob! Still shiny as Shockers.

Don puts a spiral spring in the fitting of the clickwhip for just that reason. Have your friends twist the air fitting back and forth and most of the sand will come out. They should work fine after that.

i went with a metal whip. cost about $40 to buy and you can bend it like what you are talking about and wont show any difference. you can kick it as you step on your bike and it wont crack. ive had mine on my bike for 3 years now without removing it and the thing is still straight like its new.
but i do hear those quick whips are good too.
i just like my metal whip.

I've had my Q-whip (steel whip) for 8 years now...
I've replaced the flag and the bulb socket... but the whip is still going strong... (though the mount isn't all that great!)

that whip that you just use your hands lookd pretty spiffy. I think i'd rather just use that instead of the crappy bolt ons. $28 is pretty attractive too.
Thanks for the info.
