Here's the latest Manxter to roll off Mendeola Signature Motors line, a true "dual sport"..... Yes it is street legal and off-road capable. The "XS" features some of the top names in the off-road industry, Fox, Walker Evans, Mastercraft, CNC, BFG, Baja Designs, Out-Front, Ron Davis Racing, Howe, and of corse MENDEOLA TRANAXLES just to name a few....
These vehicles are built to order so let your imagination be your only limit. Current build time is around 16 weeks (we've got a few cars on order)......... Call today 619-710-4946 or visit our website at www.mendeola-motors.com

We also build them for the street.................

Ya, that right we can't keep our foot out of it long enough to find our what kind of gas milage it gets, but that thing sounds supper bad gluteous maximus when your on that throutle, and the fact that you can beat any other car on the street is way cool..... It's like haveing the fastest rail, doing the biggest wheelies, and catching the biggest air.......
The power to weight ratio is just stuppid.

Over 330hp and the car only weighs 1900lbs the dual sport is only 2400lbs, and that is normaly asperated. Hmmmmm, I wounder how much more a power adder would add??????

Hey thanks guys,
We do pride ourselves on making these as nice as we can short of building full custom cars and the time that take the price would have to go through the roof to make it worth while.
Matt86m: You did see the black one at outfront/back late last season. The guy that owns it says he can't bring himself to driving any of his other realy nice cars (high end Benz, some italian cars, and a couple of two seater American cars you guys take motors out of), he just realy enjoys what he calls his "street buggy", and the heated seats allow him to drive pretty much all year.......
Again thanks and remember all of our cars are street legal, so the fun can be everyday, not just on the weekend.......

Here's a video from our recent suspension tuning with Fox Racing shox on our Dual Sport. You can't tell from the video but this is at around 60mph over whoops that are about 3 feet high. Not bad for a midtravel car....

One question, or suggestion if you will.
the sides of the off-road model look incomplete. Just the black raw fiberglass and tubing. However on the street models there are sides on the car. Is there a reason the off-road version doesnt have it? I would like to see how it looks with the sides on the off-road version.
Very nice cars BTW, I love Manx's

Great Idea, we've thought the same, however the dual sport body is three inches taller then the street car, We are working on something the cover that area. One thing that one of our customers did was to powder coat the lower cage the color of the car and it looked sweet... I'll see if I have any pictures of it to post up....

Just an update!
We have more then 400 testing miles on the "XS" dual sport most of them off road out in the hard packed desert and NO PROBLEMS....... This car has been jumped, raced across the whoops, and driven hard..... Great deal for the money, and you can drive it on the street................

Just curious. Don't those years still have some smog issues? I thought if you had a early 60s reg. (not sure exactly ) that you never have to worry about a thing.

Nope California smog law aplies to cars that were originaly equipped with catylitic converters. Volkswagen only had cats the second half of 75', as did most cars back then. Therefore California only requires 76' and later cars to be smogged. We will never half to worry about a thing...... Mike and I have gone to great lenths to make sure we are 100% legal to do what we are doing, otherwise why even do it when it is going to come back on you someday. Mendeola is around for the long haul not the quick buck, if you know what I mean.
