This is a really easy appetizer, the only part that's tricky is cutting the piece of fish to shape.
You need a cylindrical piece of ahi, or rectangular piece, maybe 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 by 5 or 6" long. You can either leave it cylindrical or rectangular, or if you want to get tricky carve it into a hexagonal piece 6" long.
Sprinkle some dry Cajun seasoning on it and oil the pan and heat it up nice and hot. Place the piece of fish in the pan lengthwise and let it sear on each side until it's blackened on the outside, but only cooked 1/4 or 1/3 of the wa ythru.
When you've removed it from the pan, it should be blackened on the outside, and almost purple in the center. Take a sharp knife and slice it into thin strips, so that each one is raw in the center.
Dip it in some soy sauce with more Cajun seasoning, or Wasabi, and enjoy with some white rice or Jasmine rice!!
