Well I thought I was getting a good deal. Guy gave me a nice looking 1983 ATC 70 but he said it wouldnt start for him when he bought it this year. Gas tank had rust in it and carb was crappy. He bought used carb off e-bay, cleaned out the tank and put it on and no joy. This thing has spark, gas and air. Should at least pop but I get nothing. Seems to have good compression but I didnt check it with a gage. Any help would be appreciated.

every try pop starting it? might help to get it fire up for the first time in a while?

also check to see how strong the spark is. sometimes bikes get a spark but its too weak to fire up.

other than that im not too sure.

By-pass your kill switch first, and then try bump starting it. Also check your points, those babies "freeze" up so to speak. If you want to sell please let me know, have cash will travel, anytime.
