I've got bilstien front coilovers on my car, it's a beam, and the car is light, what coils, would be a good starting point? I've got 250/150 now, I think its too stiff. any ideas?

change the valving! light beam car should be 200/250 but depends on driving style! also looks like the shock angle is aliitle too relaxed! should be as close to the beam as possible! call Joel at Bilstien and he can give u the right valving specs!

What chassis is that? Looks good, you could add a lot of strength by crossing some tubes in the front of the chassis, and double sheer those top shock mounts.

I agree, it's on my list, the chassis is homemade, I just chaged the upper mounts, and to coilovers.

Beam front ends are usually prety stiff. Are all the bushings new? Might just need some miles put on it.

i use a 2.0 fox with 250/350 springs on my beam, with 35/45 valving and it is pretty stiff but rides nice.It does not look like you have much preload on your springs should be pretty soft with those springs..it should be easy to move the arms by hand with no shocks on it, make sure your thru bolts are not too tight and the arm moves easily in the beam bushing before changing springs.

Also you could drill and tap the beam to add zerk fittings so you can grease the bushings. It made a world of difference on mine. The suspension easily moves up and down. Before it wouldn't budge. Plus the the bushings squeaked like crazy before.
