We are going to Ocotillo next weekend for Halloween. I wish I saw this thread earlier.

Happy, we were gonna ride to ya, but my bro-law got lot sat morning finding us..dum ask.....so the morning was shot, finally got there and we did our first ride to slash x..then later to the little dunes over by saugus..night fell.and that was that....sunday we went to a mine and explored inside that..then went home...a too quick weekend....let me know your next trip to Boone rd, we will join you there....

I will post up when we get to go again. It all depends when the wife has the weekend off. When do we turn the clocks back? Thats always a good weekend to go.

We had a blast out there... didn't see anyone I knew! Watched some cool rock crawling up by JackHammer... found some great geocaches and ventured out a bit! Always had a blast out at the sand hills! Here are some pics...

Well, we are going to hit up Boone Rd again this weekend. Fri to Sun.
If you think you can make it I'll have a Waiting for ya.

So what's the difference between Boone rd. and Cougar Buttes off of Powerline Rd.? I would like to check this place out one of these days.

Well for one thing it's less crowded. The lakebed has bombcraters that are fun to ride in. And the sand pics I posted earlier are very close to there.
There are some nice sand hills to play on.
