Does anybody know where to buy that flag mount that has a bar that attachs under your seat?
I seen a couple last year. It looks like a hoop that attachs to the seat mount so you do not have to drill your plastic or attach to lower rear tire.

sure if i had one to mock up with....dont know anyone with a kawi. its actually really easy, i start out with a piece of 2" alumn. angle, cut it up to desired shape/fit, drill flag pole mount hole, and hole for seat bolt, and drill a hole in the back that goes through fender as well for brace. i think use an allen head for the seat mount bolt with a nut on the back side of the angle iron so as to space it away from the seat/fender. can make one with real basic tools

Do you guys have issues with the flag coming forward and smacking you in the helmet when breaking or cresting hills? We made something similiar and had it happen. So I went back to the old trusty axle mount and zip-tie through a melted hole in the fender.

Crazy Kevens at vendor row is where I got one. Making one is cheaper, but this was easier for me at the time. Or have seen them at Chapparal.

I only hit it when i have a real OH CHIT panic rev off of a sudden drop off or over a deep witches eye. otherwise its usually about a foot behind me. never really get hit by it. probs i had with the axle mount ones were, flag pole rubbing on my pipe, catching the fender and snapping, it would hit me as well.
biggest dislike i have of the fender mount is. its a little trickier to swing your leg over your bike.
I dont break near as many flags with the seat mount style

We have used the axle mount system for a while. Last time out we snapped off a flag and with no other option, my son zip tied half the whip to his chest protector. That worked so good, that he won't be putting it back on the bike. I tried it out myself and I think thats the way I'm gonna go too. It's only really noticeable at warp speed. The flag is the same height as a whip attached to the axle. When you stand up to crest a dune, the flag sticks up even higher. Because you are only using half the whip, it tends to flex alot less than the entire 6' of whip so it stays upright and more visible.
Just another idea.

only thing i did was weld a tab on that screws to the fender because the bracket kinda hops up and down over jumps and whoops but its great

I just bought a new one at the sandshow that mounts to your chain guide. I thought it was cool, we'll see how it works.

really? having a hard time picturing that. the rear chain guide right? attaching the whip to a swingarm is not the best in my opinion. i did that way back in the day and broke whips constantly. i just zip tie to my subframe.
buying the thick whips keeps that sucker from bouncing back at your helmet.
