I will be getting to G this coming Monday night late to start securing space on Pad 5 for the party on the weekend.

Anyone else going to be able to get out early as well?

I will have to work each day from the moho but definately can do a morning or evening dune run each day.

Unfortunately, I wont be able to make it until about 6:00am Saturday morning at the earliest.

Im leaving Wednesday about 7pm
I think if we stop for a few hours real early Thursday morning, we will be out there by lunch time Thursday.

If I follow google maps to Brawley, its just out Highway 78 to Gecko right?
I think I googled it at 581miles.

Friday afternoon for me. I've never camped at Glamis, is pad 5 a concrete circle? or hard pack sand?

All of the pads are a sand / gravel / asphalt mix, none are actually concrete, but its so packed down its pretty close. Getting stuck isnt an issue as long as you stay on the pad.

Arriving Wednesday night
Early morning ride Thursday then might go into brawley get a hotel room with a pool and hang out till Thursday evening.
Same thing for Friday if the temps are in the 100's
Then rough the heat the rest of the weekend in the moho.

Wonder what kind of infection you will get from swimming in a Brawley motel pool? If you actually go and swim in a pool there, bring a mask and check out all of the stuff (boneless brown trouts, snot, buggers, pubes, flem, blood clots, scabs) that is suspended in the water, and you will change your mind real quick.

Hey don't laugh. We used to do that with the kids when we were between motorhomes. Stayed at the Brawley Inn. Don would only stay in the Presidential Suite. Full on jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, full kitchen it was alot nicer that you'd think. I have to admit we didn't go in the pool!!!

Dont be hating on Brawley hotels..........they have a needle exchange program at the hotel office now. A huge cost saver and very socially responsible.

I have a bullet cam and ChaseCam PDR100.....pretty awesome video quality.
Would love to get all kinds of video. Never ridden in Glamis and my plan was to get video on every ride. DOnt have any video of my car, just video taken from my car.

Ill be getting video/pictures but not In car. I typically chase Killin It Krew and when they find a sweet spot, stop and film some clips.

Sounds good. maybe I can put your video on my PC then work on a movie.

2 cams on the same ride make for a good video. Then add some shots from a specific spot and mix it all in.

And Id like to grab the video out of your car!

Shawn is my favorite for videos and Mike330r does some great in car stuff, between the two of you it would rock. I have kicked around the idea of helping out Shawn with a project, he has alot of talent but a limited USMC budget, if you guys want to all discuss, I think it has some possibilities. I think if some one did a full length 08 /09 season review dvd, they could sell a bunch.
