I wanted to give a quick thanks to Don from SCU. I was camped on Road Runner this last week and I had some Charlyn power steering issues. I called Don on Thursday and he said he would bring me a unit on Friday morning to replace mine. The catch is he did not know me and I don't own an SCU. After meeting him he explained that the problem was most likely my pump or rack and not the Charlyn unit. He then handed me the pump and I asked what I owed him. We agreed on a price and he went one step further. He told me to keep my money. He said if the unit did not solve my problem, I could just send it back to him at no charge.
Well, he was right. It was not the Charlyn, but the point is he helped me out anyway.
Thank you Don for the help...
Don at SCU for Oct Duner of the month

I think the nomination should be for Don, Kathy and his family, for numerous reasons........
- the post earlier about him helping out with the power steering
- 20 years in business supporting the dunes
- hosting an amazing event this past weekend. It was all done on a budget, with lots of volunteers, committed to helping SCU out in anyway they can because of how much they respect SCU and what they have done for Glamis.

I would like to nominate Blaine, Nail-it.
I had a pain come out of no where and hit me in the lower gut. It came on real fast and very painful. I was incapacitated by the pain. I felt that if the pain continued at its fast pace, I was eventually going to pass out. My truck was still hooked up to the camping trailer, so I asked Blaine to take me to the hospital. Without hesitation, he drove me in his truck and waited on me until I told him to go back to camp.
thanks buddy!
after an examination, tests and scan, I was diagnosed with a kidney stone.

I have not had the pleasure of meeting don or his family but the one thing I do know is that on GD.com you have to be a straight shooter if not people will not hesitate to voice how you have done them wrong. I have heard noting but the recurring theme that Don and his fam are the best of the best regardless if you own a SCU or not they treat everyone as family and fellow dunes. I say yes to Don and fam as dune family of the mth.

Well kick those guys (or GF's) to the curb.
People get the respect and love (Or lack there of) they allow from their spouse.
Again...kuddos to you two love monkeys.

It's a good thing Blaine was there!
The rest of us would have left you writhing on the ground in agony and taken Kathy into town for a nice romatic dinner.

J/K!
I'm glad he was there to help out, hope everything comes out painlessly!
