HEY PEPS I HAVE AN 04 SHEE WITH A 260 MAIN JET,AIR LID ON AND SNORKEL REMOVED.IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FUEL BOWL THERE IS A JET AND THEIR IS ONLY ONE THE OTHER CARB DOESNT HAVE ONE IS THIS RIGHT!AND IF IT IS WHAT SIZE SHOULD IT BE. RIGHT NOW IT IS STOCK,BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE BOGGY, ON TAKE OFF. THE REST OF THE TIME ITS FAST.THANKS .JERRY

You should have a main jet in each of the carbs. When you took the float bowl off the one side was the main jet in the bottom of it? I would bump your jetting up if you are running with out the air box lid. I run 310 mains in mine and 30 pilots and it runs like a champ.

MY SET UP IS.... FMF FATTY PIPES W/ K&N W/ POR FLOW AND I MODIFIED THE AIR LID. AIR LID MODS: TOOK OFF SNORKEL AND DRILLED (4) 1" HOLES ON THE INTAKE PART OF THE LID.

MY JETTS ARE 300 MAIN AND A 32.5 PILOT. HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM FAR AS FOULIN PUGS OR ANYTHING AND STARTS ONE FIRST KICK EXCEPT WHEN REALLY COLD TEMPS.

I RUN MY BIKE A HAIR BIT RICH MAINLY BECAUSE I WANT TO RUN WIDE OPEN LONGER WITHOUT WORRY OF BLOWIN THE MOTOR.

I STILL HAVE AIR LID ON,BUT THE JETS IM TALKING ABOUT ARE THE ONES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOT BOWL.I GUESS ITS THE PILOT JET,AND FMF TELLS ME TO RUN A 30 JET,AND YAMAHA SOLD ME TWO JETS AND WHEN I TOOK OFF THE BOWLS ONLY ONE BOWL HAD A JET IN IT. I WENT BACK TO YAMAHA AND THE GUY LOOK AT ME WITH THAT "DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS LOOK"PLEASE HEEEELP

ok on a banshee the main jett is right with the piolet jett. if you take off the main jett that one you should be runnin around a 300 or so with mods.

there is a little tube lookin thing on the carb where the piolet jett is there should be one in there too. thats the pilot.

you have to use a wrench to take off the mains and a narrow screwdriver to take off the pilots. maybe that will help ya.

Sounds to me like the main jet feel out on that one side. Was there a little white plastic thing with it?

SORRY,I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND.THE PART OF THE CARB THAT IM TALKING ABOUT IS NOT IN YOUR PICTURES.IF I HAD A PICTURE I WOULD POST IT.IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL,ON THE INSIDE IS THE JET,SORRY AGAIN

Ok that it the main jet it does not belong there. Look in the pic you will see a arrow pointing to the main jet. This is its home take the main jet out of the float bowl and take a 6mm socket and screw it into the hole where the arrow is pointing. You dont need to torque it down with force just go tell its snug.

I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SHOWN ME.BUT THE BOTTOM PART OF THE BOWL THAT HAS BEEN REMOVED IS WHERE THE JET IS,I STILL DONT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE JET IS FOR IN THE PART THAT IS NOT IN YOUR PICS ALL THE OTHER JETS ARE IN PLACE.SORRY FOR THE MISS UNDERSTANDING.
