Folks,
I have a 97 RM250 and am replacing the reeds. The reed block does not appear to have a gasket, just a rubber ridge cast directly into the reed block.

From what I can tell, the 96-97 is set up like this, and from 98-2000 they opened up the reeds a little and the bigger block requires a gasket.

Are there any 96-97 owners that have a definitive answer here?

Thanks.

yeah if there is a rubber oring type deal built into the cast then you dont need a gasket. bigger blocks=better low end torque and throttle response.
