It`s pulled through for me [Big Grin]

I've never used the stuff. What all can you use it for?
Copper
Nevermind. I just read VW #3 and found out you can use it for anything.

This guy really F'in ****ed me off when I was a teenager. And I remembered I had some in my glove box so I mixed it and and filled all the keyhole locks on his car. Other than that tried to use it to fill a hole that had to be retapped. Didnt last long. [Pimp]

JB is killer stuff. I had a radiator crack around the inlet tube. I put JB on it and it held for more than two years with no leaks. Plus, once I painted over the JB you could hardly tell it was there.

A friend of mine had a crack in the combustion chamber of a VW cylinder head between the spark plug hole and the valve seat. He put JB on the crack and put the engine back together. A year later we pulled the engine apart and the JB was still holding! Amazing. I never would have believed it.

While having one of my cylinders ported the guy grinded right [Eek!] through the cylinder around the intake (Fourtrax 250R - I know, it's not Sandrail Tech but it's JB Weld). He JB welded the crap out of it. Let it dry, and then grinded some more. Still running the cylinder and it's been 3 years!

Damn shark ! your brutal [Eek!] I`ll have to remember that one bout you [Wink] . One year , for TG week, I sucked an intake guide a few days into my trip. Yanked the head, and drove to Yuma to ORBS. The guide was toast, simple fix maybe? Nope , the heads were old school AutoCraft alky injected heads , and it had offset guides . Which they did`nt have , let alone the guide hole was toasted. JB weld held it the rest of the season. Took it apart later and it was effed, would`a had to weld in the hole and re drill it. I put more JB around it , and it lasted the whole next season [Big Grin]

Yup, I'm with King Glamis on this one. On the street bikes when they go down on the right side the first thing to get effed up is the bottom corner of the pipe, and belive me the sight of a $800 titanium Hindle that looks like it's been held up to a grinding wheel is enough to make you sick. So we just JB up the spot that's been ground down, let it dry. Sand it and shoot it and it looks all better. Like Bondo for things that get really hot! [Wink]

we've used jb weld(or some simailar epoxy) to raise the floor of the intake runners in a small block chevy head(we were moving the ports around to get better flow).

someon tried using it on the grey tank in my moho, but it didnt hold. i have used it in place of teflon tape for some applcations where i dont want the fittings coming loose or leaking at all.

Dosen't match my JB stories in the other thread but last season after my motor rebuilt I had problems with the dipstick tube coming out of the block from vibration.

Little bit of JBQuick (The fast drying but not as strong version of JB) and I was back in business. I ALWAYS keep a few tubes of both styles in all my vehices "Just in case".

The old plastic on my quad got a crack in it after hitting a tree. The tree broke my right front fender, witch mad the plastic hang down. I used some JB weld on it and it held for something like 6years until I bought a new plastic fender.

I just used JB on my valve covers last night after drilling holes in them, for the vent hose attachments.

i gotta a good one it was not jb but me and my buddy were mud riding back in alabama and we jabbed a stick in the radiator we didn't have any jb but there were some hicks out there that had a little torch and they pulled are weights off the wheels and melted them to the radiator needless to say it work we did not leak any more water but the ride home was alittle rough since we had no weights on the wheels

While riding with Mr.Budweiser one time my silencer fell halfway off because of a loose srew and got a nice scrape that turned into a hole in it. You think I would of heard the pipe with the silencer off. I dont know what the hell I was thinking about. Anyways took it home and put the JB on it and holds up find to this day. [Skull]

I wonder if I could use it on my exhaust when it cracks? How does it react to heat?
Kevin
dont know what heat will do, sounds like you need to test it [Wink]

I dont know about exhaust heat, but I patched a radiator with it and it held just fine. I figured youd appreciate that one Steve.

I had a air cooled 250R that stuck a piston and grooved the cylinder pretty bad, So I Bought new rings, filled the cylinder grooves with Devcon (almost like jb weld) and honed 'em out.
I rode that bike 3 or so more trips, then I sold it to a guy that rode it all winter... It still ran good when he sold it!

Actually, Devcon is the two part epoxy that is Caterpiller Tractor approved. You can buy it in the Cat ® parts depot.

I've used it to hold a block together just below the bore. Cat D8 H thumb.gif

repaired a timing cover on a big block ford(fuel pump area)held for 6 years redid it again,Fix small hole in radiator tube, fixed a gas tank near the inlet area held for 5 years

This stuff worked great to plug up the hole in a Subaru throttle body where the idle servo usually bolts. I was in a hurry one night, decided I didn't want to take the time to hack up the thottle body and have it tig welded shut. So I simply poured in the JB weld, then sanded it smooth the next morning. It works like a champ, no leaks or cracks, running on 3yrs..

The front shock mount on my rail that I held in with JB Weld 5 years ago finally came loose this summer. Still can't believe it lasted that long!

Was out at Gordons, a buddy was jumping a small hill and landed just off enough that the front wheel bent and cracked. We hammered it straight and filled the inside seam with JB and aired it up, lasted the rest of the weekend

my old cr 500 was leaking coolant into the gearcase and through the weap hole..
pulled it apart and it was all corroded and ate away.
sand blasted cover, installed seal and filled with jb weld, heated cover so it would flow into all crevices(spelling) and that held for as long as i had that cover on it.
i bought a new cover to replace it after a couple of years.
but it was still holding

I was working the Taco Bell drive through window one night, on the late shift, and a bus load of nuns asked for 50 tacos. Anyway, we were about to close and we only had 50 shells left. Great! But as they were preparing the last taco, the shell broke into two pieces when the cook went to wrap it. Thinking fast, I went out to my truck and retrieved an old tube JB weld that had been in the bed of my truck for months. We managed to get enough stuff out of the tube to stitch that taco shell back together, saving the day…That stuff is truly amazing. icon_biggrin.gif
