Hey guys got a question hope yall can help me, im looking to buy a kids quad for my to kids, daughter is 5. she rode the lt 80s that they rent at pismo and loved it. I was gonna get her one of those, but i have a good buddy thats owns a polaris dealer,

which is better the predator 50, or the lt 50????
big had
buy the 80..yeah your buddy can get you a deal I am assuming....but in 1 year when she outgrows the 50 how much you gonna lose on the sell to move her up??? Assuming you aren't gonna recycle the 50 on another kid coming up behind her....
turbopilot
I agree on the 80 and there are more aftermarket parts for the lt.
SAND SUBY
THE POLARIS PREDATOR HAS MUCH NICER SUSPENSION !
MY NEICE HAS HAD TO HEART SURGERIES, SO I WENT FOR THE SUSPENSION FOR HER. THE 90 VERSION SEEMS TO BE A MUCH BETTER DEAL.
IT HAS A THROTTLE LIMITER SO YOU CAN TURN IT DOWN. UNTIL SHE GETS MORE AGGRESIVE.
THE AFTER MARKET IS JUST STARTING TO MAKE STUFF FOR IT.
FOR THE $ POLARIS IS A BETTER DEAL I THINK.

I have an LT for my kids...the thing has been flawless. But its not very good in the sand!!!!!!!!! (stock anyway) I just put a Graydon Proline pipe on it...and had it at glamis this weekend...worked soooooooooo much better! You need to do more than jus pipe it...so if you get one...jus let me know and ill give you the details. icon_cool.gif

HEY SANDDRAGON SO WE MEET AGAIN. I HAVE 3 KIDS 5,5,& 6. I HAVE (2) LT50's
(1) 2002 & (1) 1986, THE GIRLS LOVE THEM YOU CAN TAKE OUT THE RESTRICTER IN THE EXHAUST AND THE CARB TO MAKE THEM BETTER IN THE SAND. IF YOU HAVE A 2YR OLD TO TAKE OVER THE 50 WHEN THIER 3YR I WOULD GET THE 50.
THE USED 50's ARE LIKE GOLD. SHOULD HAVE NO PROB. SELLING WHEN THEY MOVE UP TO 80's.

I have the 50 an dit seems to top out at 20-21mph. Does anyone know of after market parts to get a little more out of it??

GEORGE
HAVE YOU REMOVED ALL THE RESTRICTERS? CARB & EXHAUST ?
rivermobster
there is lot of room for improvement on this little bike! like calm said...remove the restrictor from the intake and the exhaust. get a pipe from darrell @ Graydon Proline (make sure you tell him i sent ya), move the clip on the needle to the lowest positon and remove the pilot jet! (dont worry...there is another jet hiding under the top pilot jet!!!). Last but not least...open up that little hole in the air filter housing!!!

So far...thats all i have done to my sons. I know its still lean...ive heard a 62.5 jet fixes that. And its also a little slow on the take off...i heard if you slot the ignition stator bracket 3/16" to advance the timing a bit, that take off lag will be fixed as well too.

Good luck!

No I haven't removed anything........

I figured that there were a few NON dealer improvements that can be made.....

I'll try these and let you know.....
