Mother Glamis High
Sung to "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver
He was born in the winter of his 32nd year
Comin’ home to a place he’d never been before
He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again
You might say he found a key for every door
When he first came to the sand dunes, his life was far away
In the city, overrun with pain
But the city can’t contain him, he’s looking for his life
He keeps running and hiding from the rain.
But The California, Mother Glamis High.
The Dune Gods are watching over him from the sky.
The Full Moon casts it's shadow and everybody flies....
Mother Glamis High... (Mother Glamis, California)
Mother Glamis High... (California)
He climbed majestic sand dunes, he rode every one he saw
He flew like the eagle up above
And finally he connected with others just like him
And found a campfire warm and filled with love
Now he rides in quiet solitude amongst the flowers and the brush
Finding solace in every trip he makes
His vision of a paradise he has realized in life
The Glamis Dunegods freely give up what he takes
And the California Mother Glamis High
The Dunegods are watching over him from the sky
You can talk to nature and hear the casual reply
Mother Glamis High (high California) Mother Glamis High (High California)
Now his life has found it’s purpose, but many still don’t believe
In the frailty of his sacred land
This life of his is popular and many want to see
Just how natural and caring is the sand
And the California Mother Glamis high
The Dunegods are watching over them from the sky
I know he’d be a poorer man if he never saw a redtail fly
Mother Glamis High
It’s a California Mother Glamis High
The DuneGods are watching over them from the sky
Duners around the campfire and everybody’s high
Mother Glamis High (High California) Mother Glamis High (High California)
Mother Glamis High (High California) Mother Glamis High……
