Does anybody remember when;
Long Travel was not even thought of?
Packs of 3 wheelers roamed the dunes?
Flat trailers & tents were the norm?
Grooved slicks were the shiz?
There were no crowds?

That bring back memory's I'm 34 but when I was 5 to 6 years old we would drive down there in my Grandpas wheelies truck and watch people try and make it up.

I still think of those times too. Just this last weekend we were talking about the old days around the camp fire. I commented on how I thought Quads looked funny when they first came out. I'll have to dig out my album and see if I can scan some pictures in.

WOW! Brings back so many memories. thumb.gif

A couple of times we rode to Glamins from Gordons, tore up a bunch of dunes then had to guess on the premix ( When the store actually sold gas ) in order to get back to Gordons.

Fun times.

Yes
1999 Alumi Craft
3.2L Honda w/Mendeola 2D
I love that car
Cheapo
Did you buy it at the end of last season? That car was awesome. I have driven it a few times. Definetly the most reliable car in the whole camp. That motor is fast. It dunes so smooth.

Oh my gosh, what memories. I'm gonna have to go through my pictures. Way back when I was a kid we had a Baja bug, and there was a guy with us in our group who always had the latest and greatest. That beam car of his was so fun tongue.gif

Too new to this (2005) to comment but absolutely love hearing and seeing the "old timers" adventures. Came out the first time in a mini-van with my son and bought a 5th wheel, 1 ton and 2 quads and never looked back. I love Glamis and all that it stands for. God Bless America and all those who love freedom!
