Does anyone use bendtech? I have a frame that I would like to copy and I want to save on material. Is this program worth using? Is it difficult to use? LEt me know if anyone out there likes it.

Bend tech is a very easy program to use. Very basic to set it up, 3-d build sheets and fully customizable.

I use it and love it.

I use the "Pro" version. It allows you to design in assembly mode and seems to be what a lot of people end up upgrading to if they purchase a lesser version. The notching wrappers that the software produces are a great help.

If you have a frame to copy, it is very easy to copy each tube from that frame. You have all of the angles and lengths done for you. If you build it on Cad, you still need to create it.

Same here. The Pro is easy to use. You actually builkd the whole chassis as an assembly of individual parts. the program will then tell you the length of tube, where to mark the bends and the angles to bend of each part. You can then use the notching templates, and fine tune each tube.

I haven't used the program yet. Just checking to see which one to get and if it is easy to use. I already have the frame that I want to copy. Will this program help me to measure and mark the tubing were I need to make the bends to save on material? Should I just take the measurements off the frame and start bending? I just wanted to limit my splices and scrap.

I dont see it being a great tool to copy a frame. It's designed to build your own. You COULD do it, but you will be doing all the hard work first(measuring lengths, bends, etc to enter into the program. I would probably take the basic dimensions of the car you like and plot those in, then make adjustments as you see fit.
