I have a friend who needs some help with wiring up his car. He has a Funco Hustler with a 2.7 V6 Turbo Acura motor with an Electra Motive (spelling?) Stand Alone Computer. He wired it up and he’s got nothing. Do you guys know anyone or anyone on the board do mobile wiring? He lives in Fontana and is trying to get out to G by the 20th. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!

Shig on the boards does this. A lot of members have used his service and were happy with the results. I got a price quote recently and it was very reasonable (for wiring the entire car). If you friend is just wiring the ECU than give one of the engine builders a call. I think Outfront does work with the Electromotive computers.

Could be anything, without knowing more. When you say he's got nothing, are you saying absolutely nothing works or just the engine doesn't work?
Does it turn over, but not start?
Do any lights work or not?
Check all the hot and ground leads.
You need for grounds:
1. battery to the chassis
2. to the engine/trans
3. to the computer
If only the chassis is grounded, do not trust the engine
mounting bolts will provide a sufficient ground to the drivetrain.
For hots:
1. battery to starter
2. to ignition / start switch
This is the minimum to get it running.
You obviously need a cable from the alternator to the battery for charging.
If all this is good, then you're going to have to get a meter and trace voltage of everything from the battery to find where a circuit is open.

So does this car live or not? What's the latest?
