I just got A recall letter in the mail today about the refrigerator in our Forest River trailer and it shows alot of different models that may be affected.
Here are the models they showed on our letter.

The problem
A fatigue crack can develop in the boiler tube of the identified refrigerators, which can permit the release of pressurized coolant solution.
If this solution is exposed to an ignition source under certin specific circumstances, it can result in a vehicle fire.

To find the info about your fridge look on the sticker on the door in the inside of the fridge

What do they say to do if you have one?

They suggest calling A local dealer to comfirm they will do the repair and have the repair done.

I got mine in the mail yesterday also. I will check tonight when I get home.

What brand of fridge? Dometic?

Yes, Dometic... Link to the recall website. Plug in your info and it'll tell you if your rig is gonna burn down or not.

Basically if you own a 1997 or newer RV you probably have one of these. The recall fix is pretty quick, the local RV shop had mine in and out in less than a day.

BTW I never got a recall letter, my RV builder (National) went under last year. So I wouldn't wait for something that might never come.

Seems Dometic has had some issues.Last year they had a recall on 2 different parts on the WW frig's.Probably same recall just FR was slower to send em out.

the recall was just expanded to cover more units the fix is easy we do alot it is done as you wait.the kit is a metal surround around the gas burner and a high temp limit switch install on the flue pipe.most rv repair company's that do warranty work will do it we keep them in stock have 4 coming in this week.

glad you posted this, thanks. just looked and mine is second on the list (RM2652). hey brokedad, are you guys still doing this recall? i am in fallbrook so lake elsinore isnt that far for me. thanks guys.
ok i just looked at the serial # and mine starts with 136 xxxxx. did the link and it said my numbers fall in the recall. i need to take care of this.

i got one too instead of replacing the pipe that may crack they put a metal shield in to slow down the fire spreading........

seriously? thats all they do? so its the burner pipe that fails? and is there a replacement burner pipe we can buy that fixes this problem?

took mine into lake elsinore giant rv and they got me going in no time. did a little shopping in the show room and the 5r was finished. thanks Brokedad. off to stage coach thursday.
