Ok. So over the weekend i pulled a rookie move and ran out of gas 25bangin.gif I run 110 VP gas in my 250r because of a high compression piston, but the guy who brought me gas had 91 with an octane booster in it. Even thought it was only about a Gatorade bottle worth of gas, the bike seemed to run fine. Any thoughts on running this from now on? If I could run pump gas with a booster, it would save me tons of $$$$$$. Thanks for your advise.
Legit Duner
Used to always run trick octane booster and 91 back in the day.

Whats your compression at? Octane boosters are not a safe alternative for race gas.

Not too sure of the comp. I am running an ESR 350 PV motor in my TRX. It burns a bunch of gas. Maybe im just used to the milage i get out of my CRF 450 but i dont remember my CR500 burning so much.

at least give 50/50 a try

I wouldn't risk burning up a nice motor like that. If you're out in G and you need fuel, the Dunes Storage accross from the store sells VP110. Octane boost in some cases lowers the actual octane of the fuel(something about watering it down) I was told to never run boost in my R and it's only a 275. Same in my kids 90/110 Race motor, C12 and Castor.

I never heard of it lowering the octane, but was told that actually only added a small percentage. Say 87 to 87.1
