How about Jan 1-4th, or Jan 16 - 18th?

I prefer Jan 1 -4, a fun trip, away from the big crowds at Glamis, Gordon's Well or Ocotillo.

Not a bad drive about 40 mins but not really worth the effort when you can just drive to the dunes directly.

Thanks for the offer. I'm still up in the air. How far from the KOA to the start of the trail? Can we drive the ORV's to the start , or do they need to be trailered? I guess the trail starts somewhere near the Salton Sea? Somewhere on the Canal Road, according to what I read.

The trail is a few miles north of the KOA. You can ride right from camp to the trail no trailer needed. We'll start from camp and go to where Canal road interescts the Bradshaw Trail.
