Taking a look at the picture below...what broke to cause the axle to do this? I would like to have a rough idea of what might need to be fixed before I drop it off to be put back together! I would also like some ideas of where to take it for repair, I live in the east county of San Diego.Click to view attachment

Looks like you might have broken the snap ring that holds it in place!
RXM
Take it to HRT Motorsports in Ramona. They are the Rhino & UTV experts in the general San Diego area.

looks like it just pulled out, maybe a broken ring, maybe the wrong length axle.
Does it have long travel? if so, how long has it had it before this happened?
UTV Mayhem
looks like it just popped out, mine did that too, i had a small dent in that brass color cover thing and it wouldnt sit all the way in, i took off the cover and now its fine..

Save your money, buy the snap ring (make sure it's the passenger side ring, not driver side) and reinstall it. Also like UTVMayhem said, make sure you check the brass cover for any dents that won't let it slide on. Just for good measure I'd check your axle nut also to make sure it's tight. Luckily it's stock A-arms so you should not have any problems with the axle.

Never seen that on stock axles. Did you put them in or was it factory? Snap ring malfunction..

That is what was on it when I bought it! So it's not stock?
Have you done a snap ring replacement? if so, how difficult?

No it looks stock, just weird that it happened. Yeah its easy. Pull your rear spindle off, jerk the axle out, pop the ring in the groove, use a dead blow hammer or equivilent and knock the axle back into your rear end. (in a nut shell) Having someone there thats done it would be a plus
