A question I asked of the BLM a couple of days ago.....obviously their answer is not clear, but I thought I would share it anyways.
-----------------------------------------------------------
subject = ISDRA - Wash Road
FeedbackType = General Question
I am a frequent visitor to the ISDRA, particularly Glamis. There is a lot of talk about the fence being put up by the RR.
The question is, will the BLM be grading a new road along the fence for visitors to access camping at the washes?
Thank you for your time.

(BLM Reply)
We are working on the environmental documents to allow us to grade the fence openings that will be at each wash. This topic will be discussed at this Friday's TRT meeting. please see our home page link below.

So the BLM has stated they will grade the openings in the fence at each wash.
That means No New Wash road along side the fence.
That means we will have to use the existing Wash road on the RR property.
Good info to know.
I'm glad you sent that question and Niel answered it.
Thank you.

This is looking very fishy. This will not be stopping sand anytime soon. The openings are braced for future gates if they felt like adding them.
If I am driving down the RailRoads property does that mean the BLM has no Juristiction and I should just keep driving and ignore those pesky red and blue lites?

True to that but you are actually will be in jurisdiction of both... so if the railroad police wanted to give you a ticket, all they could pop u for is tresspassing on a surface road owned by the railroad...

What are the horizontal members made of? It almost looks like a ribbed rubber (not for her pleasure) type material.

Does anybody know if you can currently drive along the fence to get to the wash camp spots? If so can you do it an an RV or just a 4 x 4 truck?
