On this Saturday the 13th there will be a clean-up of Lower Bee-Canyon here in Hemet
The clean -up is being put on by a bunch of locals just trying to Take care of the area

The Lower small canyons that are used by shooters who don't clean-up after themselfs and others that just come out there to dump

There will be a Large dumpster on site the day of the Clean-up / Also Staters is supplying bottled water and other items .

I know Hemet Jeep Club is making a showing to winch out some of the large stuff
I thought it would be a help to use some Rhinos or other UTV'S to get into the tight spots and get some of the trash OUT >>>

The Clean-Up is starting at 7:00 Sat. morning

I know the press has been contacted about it
A Good story / Off-Roaders helping to take care of the trails

The area 'Bee Canyon " is Off hwy.74 East of Hemet / just past Cranston ranger station on the way to Idllywild

The staging area to the OHV trails to on your left as you pass the old stong bridge over the riverbed

the trails go from Hemet ( elv.1500 ) to Pine Cove ( Elv.6500 )
We usually put on about 40 miles on a good day ride up there
I grew up here in the valley and have been off-roading in these hilkls for a few decades!!!!!

Thought it would be nice to ' Help -Out ' and clean a nice trail area and one of the few legal target areas left around the area !!!!!!!!

Crappy camera phone pix and only got a couple before the battery died, but you get the idea. These guys gathered a crapload of trash out of this area and are still up there at it. The pics show one little "pad" area out of 12 I believe. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we had previous obligations. Anyway, good job guys!!

I just back ...............You should of seen the PILE of trash bags coming out of that place !!!

I lost count on how many heavy bags I relayed in the rhino
Mine was the dark silver one with the alum. roof
really came in handy for getting into the smaller canyons and getting the trash out

Found everything from shot-up metal items to old fire extinguishers to a lg. canvas bag with ladies undergarments .......... 25bangin.gif

I don't want to see a another shotgun shell caseing for a LONG time

I had to leave a little early today
The 'Noise ' I was hearing out of the front end got worse
and the drivers front tire was kicked out real bad
It looks to be the bearing in the spindle went south
By the time I limped back to my trailer that wheel was WAY out there
Lucky to make it back to trailer

Stay safe RON
