Has anyone installed the 200 watt high output stator in the Shee. I've got the Torch Lights installed with 35Watt bulbs - like to crank them up to 100 watt bulbs, but dunno if it's worth the dough ($230.00 ish with flywheel gizmo).

If anyone has done it let me know what you think.

Thanks

PS - Heard from a good source that the MR16 bulbs for these "type" of setups CAN be purchased from Home Depot/Lowe's/Etc. at less than half of the cost of the bulbs the shops call "offroad" application bulbs.

i just finished installing mine at the end of this past year... mid december.

all i can say is it is worth it 110%. get the flywheel with it. i run 2 50watt bulbs w/ the stock lights. and i can see generously infront of me and it makes me feel alot safer.

for $230 it is worth it. everyone didnt understand in my group why i was doing it til they saw it finished and then all were going "i should do that to mine"

go for it you wont be sorry

dont forget to buy a stator puller for $10 when you do. it saves for a huge headache when your ready to pull it.

i got the headache til i bought one.

DJT, Yes you can buy bulbs that "fit" from HD. They however are not the same as some report... Well at least mine aren't, can't speak for TT. You also won't find 100w lamps at HD or pretty much anywhere else but from me and they won't fit in the TT cause they do not have the intigrated lens.

As far as the stator goes. Go for it, you can never have too much light!

Bueno,

Thanks for the 411 on the lighting. Guess I'll shell out the 2 Big Tacos for the stator and get some more light.

Chopped: "You also won't find 100w lamps at HD or pretty much anywhere else but from me..." Expand on the anywhere else but from me part - is there an exclusivity thing going on here?

E-mail the light bulb info to: Ironhawk13@aol.com

Thanks
