Taco and MXD for hosting (buying all the meat) the EPO bbq

The peeps that spoke at the TRT, especialy Samplr and Fastlane..

Well I know this guy didn't help a stranded dunner or host a killer party or even lend a hand to a fallen dunner. I could nominate 3 differant people for thoose reasons alone and I know the 3 people I woud nominate for thoose reasons would vote for this guy anyway. But this person is the kind of guy who does stuff just because not because there is a event scheduled but because. This person I obsereved every morning before the rest of the camp even got out of there warm beds me included and walk around the area and PICK UP OTHER PEOPLES TRASH. Not trash that blew out of our camp or beer cans left around from the night before but trash that somebody else left behind. That person is Mike aka What Hurts.

As cool as it would be, I would have to say that surely must be someone more deserving than me. Picking up trash, helping people out with broke down trucks or injured/down riders is what I feel DOTM is all about. The BBQ was just to get people together and hang out.

I agree 100% with you Mike, he was up early and wandered around picking up trash every morning... Truely a duner that has Mother Glamis's best interests at heart, thank you Mike for being who you are...

Sat Morning Ride....We got out to the bowls behind Oldsmobile and near the closure area and POOF!
Lost all the air from my rear right paddle. Effing flat. They refused to let me go back to camp alone.
I knew they wanted to go to China wall, but nope - They would go back to camp with me.

Sat Afternoon Ride....We got out to the bowls near Oldsmobile and where on our way to China Wall....and SLAM!
I misjudged a Razor and got tossed into the down face of a dune. Hit hard and bounced down the hill.
Lost my breath for a second or two. They immeadiatly made sure I was ok buy the fact I could open my own Beer.
So we head back out towards China.....and now that same Effing flat tire.
Well they refused to let me go back to camp alone.
I knew they wanted to go to China wall, but nope - They would go back to camp with me.


Good friends make sure your ok, then once back at camp laff at you the rest of the weekend.

Take care of that bent axle. Could be part of the problem.

You are right though. I took a good digger a couple years ago. Buddies stayed with me while others went to get a rail to cart me out of the dunes. They laughed at me the rest of the weekend.

Having a good group out there is very important.

SandSampler......sets up the EPO; gets Neal to put the RR fence at wash road first at the TRT meeting so that postponing the EPO for a few hours so that many could attend a very important event, and then let the EPO continue

Dude filled up a trash bag every morning out there, and he does this same thing every trip!!

By Sunday, he had walk to the far end of the wash to find trash to pick up. He had cleaned the whole wash by himself...

I saw him Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings taking his walk to pick up trash!

I would like to nominate pipelayer for DOTM. On Sunday evening, he passed our group that was trying to fix a bent rim and blown tire on one of the sand cars. He stopped and offered to run to camp and bring back anything we needed to get the repair done. He had never met any of us, just happened to be driving by and stopped to see if we needed any help. He left my son with his cell number and told us to call if we needed anything. We were able to get the car up and running again but we did appreciate the offer. Thanks pipe, and whoever was with you that evening, you are truly what being a good duner is all about! I wish I had my camera that night, we ended up getting the tire to hold air but we weren't comfortable with having it on the rear of the car, we were afraid it would pop the bead again. We ended up putting the paddles on the front and the steer tires on the rear to drive it back to camp.

you all observed what hurts picking up trash all around you guys. You bunch of litterer's you! If you know mike, he probably got all the cans and by recycling them it paid for his weekend.
