Full Version: Buried Treasure!

50GRIT
Yes, that’s right! Hidden treasures were buried in the sand. If you are taking a trip to the sand dunes for New Years or shortly after, it may be worth it to search out and find some buried treasure. If not, you may want to call your friends and give them this vital information. On December 27th & 28th, an undisclosed amount of boxes were buried. With the GPS coordinates & photos in your possession, you won’t have any trouble at all. (unless some treasure has been found) Once you arrive at the coordinates listed, search the photos and match the spot for a precise location. Treasures are buried just below the sand and if any, require minimal digging. If you find a treasure please reply back and tell us where you found it and post a picture if you can. Happy Skateboarding!

By brother and I scored two of them. I loaded up the gps with the cordinates before I left the house but I couldn't tell you which ones we found. However, they were both out in the dunes. It was definately fun to go on a treasure hunt, especially at night. Nice decks for sure! They even came with grip tape! Thanks 50GRIT, HAPPYSKATEBOARDING.COM RULES!
Here's a couple of pics of my brother as he found the treasures

Thanks! No need to come to Mesa to check out the shop, it's all online right now. We are planning on opening up a physical shop in the near future. Last week we let 5 ballons go with coupons attached to them. Hopefully someone will find them and ship them back to us for some more prizes. Hope everyone has a great 2009!

Cool idea 50....checked out the site, its looking good. Are you guys gonna sell any longboards?

Funny story, we all get to camp and Chance said check out this thread, some treasure is out in the dunes! We were all stoked to go find them. I could read Chance's mind "Why did I just tell all these guys about the booty". Next thing I know Chance is gone! We all got a good laugh when he came back with the boards. I said to him "Thanks for waiting for us" tongue.gif

Awesome! It looks like there is one left. Hint: It is going to be close to the entrance of Gordons flats (Homeplate). We will be planting more treasures in the near future. Thanks for everyones participation.

FYI we tried to find some, hit up 2 spots and you could tell the holes had been dug, my son had fun and it was a great way to bribe him to get out in the dunes with me, but I was borrowing a GPS so I couldn't check all the spots, I will be looking forward to this in the future!! yay.gif

BUT, I was really dissapointed, one of the spots not sure which one, out in the dunes over sand highway, someone had litterally dug a big whole in the middle of the plant. The plant wasn't trashed but it was definatly disturbed. None of your pictures showed a treasure in the bush, just beside it so I don't know what they were thinking. wife.gif

I would of taken some pics but I had dropped the camera in the dog water bowl the night before.

Again thanks alot, it was fun even though we didn't find one!!
